I'm a huge fan of LastPass (http://lastpass.com/), which is web browser based (and also has a downloadable app for managing your exported password file without a web browser).

It's multi-platform, multi-user, and your encrypted data is stored in the cloud (so it is available from anywhere with a web connection). More on this below. You can generate temporary, one-time access passwords - which are useful when you are on the road or need to do something from an internet cafe or someone else's machine.

Even the FREE version has a ton of features: http://lastpass.com/features
* Unlimited browser sync for Mac, Windows, Linux & Web
* Automated filling of logins & forms
* Secure Notes for digital recordkeeping
* Share credentials with friends & colleagues
* Password generator
* Multifactor authentication & One Time Passwords
* Audit passwords with Security Challenge
* Command-line interface

The only feature I don't use is the Password generator - I've got my own (Freeware, see here) that has all of the rules for my various accounts programmed into it, so I can easily generate passwords to the specifically required rules at the click of a mouse.

You can (and should regularly) export encrypted copies of your LP cloud data to your local machine. Your data is stored encrypted on the LastPass server encrypted with your password and email address as the key. My LP password is 30+ characters and my email address (a special and very strange email address alias I created and only use for LastPass) is another 45+ characters, so I've got 75+ characters of encryption protecting my LP data. So, even if someone hacks into the LP servers and gets a copy of my encrypted data, they've got a hell of a lot of work to do to get access to it, and long before they crack it, I'll will have changed all my passwords.

Anyway, I very highly recommend LastPass.
