I don't understand. In the clip, the AI plays breakout and learns how to master the game. "but then we left it playing for another hour and it started to tunnel the sides". What does that imply, why the hell would it do that?
For a human playing a breakout style game, "tunneling" and getting the ball up on top of the wall means you have to do less work and you can worry less about missing the ball.
But the AI does not have to worry about missing the ball, it never misses.
The objective is to get a high score but there's no point bonus for "tunneling". So what "motivated" the AI to tunnel and have the ball knock out the top bricks? Is it lazy?? lol
