See above (the short answer: yes). I have a pair of 27" 2560x1440 monitors from Dell that I inherited from work, which have such crippling ghosting issues as to leave clearly visible purple or green trails when looking at a wall of stone in Minecraft as I run past. It's annoying as shit and well worth avoiding if you can stump up the extra coin.
