I've been collecting inp recordings from M.A.R.P. lately and am having a sound issue with playback. Some of the recordings do not initially playback with sound but I've found that if I generate an ini file with MAME and then rename it to the romname, the inp will usually playback with sound. I would like to accomplish this using an option in the batchfiles I use to start the inp playback rather than a separate ini file for every different game I have an inp for. I've narrowed down the line in the ini file responsible for the successful playback of the sound to the line "samplerate 44100". However, when I add the option to the batchfile, not only does it not work, but it STOPS the sound from working even with an ini file present. The exact syntax im using in the batchfile is "-samplerate 44100". I've also tried "-sr 44100". Neither works. I've also used other values such as 48000, 22050.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can successfully add a line to my batchfile to get the result I'm getting with the "romname.ini" file? The batchfile line is as follows: "mamep106-vc -pb missile.inp". The unsuccessful batchfile line is as follows: "mamep106-vc -pb missile.inp -sr 44100". Any help is appreciated. Thanx
