Don't use a 12V-heavy Prescott system with a shitty Chinese power supply designed for a Pentium 3, problem solved. PCs have changed this side of 2004. As for power consumption, I'm sure changing out those incandescent bulbs for CFLs or LEDs have already paid for your energy bill.

Not elegant or cheap. Just a glorified, oversized cellphone with the power of a Williamette-era Pentium 4 (if that).
