Yeppers. I've luckily found some great free software (since I upgraded to Seven) that feels that way and has nothing to envy to $100+ solutions. MakeMKV, Defraggler, Lazarus, Serviio, ImgBurn... Well maybe ImgBurn doesn't have that feel but it's such a great program.
