It looks like the story on a lot of those sites (all of them I looked at) originated here.
Why are Polish men in London getting military call-up papers?

Polish army to train 7000 reservists
Quote:
“The training has nothing to do with the current situation on the international arena,” claimed Lieutenant-Colonel Janusz Lojko. Last year, about 2680 reserve troops took part in training exercises, after the programme was suspended for three years between 2009 and 2012. In 2006, as many as 69,000 reservists underwent training, and 45,000 in 2008. This year's exercises will last an average of ten days, with a maximum duration of 30 days. Lojko outlined that the exercises are intended “to familiarise reserve soldiers with their equipment, their commanders and their responsibilities.”
From the numbers, it looks like Poland was preparing even harder for war in 2006 and 2008, but not so hard in 2013.
Oh for Pete's sake.
