When was the last time you looked at your C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data folder? Christ, mine was like 10GB. After tinkering around, I found it nearly impossible to make Chrome put that data anywhere else. You can't even specify an installation location!
Thank goodness for Symlinks. If you'd like to free up a good chunk of space, open up a command prompt and use the command (for example):
mklink /j "C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data" d:\ChromeData
Cut and paste everything inside of that "User Data" folder into your new destination first and delete the actual folder, before using the command.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
