I don't know if there's any custom modules for protection on the board but that might be an issue, and didn't Daytona use a protection board or something? That might have changed.

Aside from the obvious I believe all the RTC stuff is backed up using a super cap on the main board so I assume if that loses power it would reset the settings but might not be the case.
