Only reason I wouldnt use it is fan noise and possibly power supply. But the power supply is probably standard if it is a tower.
Not sure what you will get for it if you try to sell it. Hmm looks like people are coming off 1000-1200ish for them. Probably depending on the amount of RAM in them. That would make a nice tax deduction and low hassle getting rid of it?... Does it have a windows sticker on it? That could help with the value.
