Wow, if that's really the case, I would have done the same thing. The "accident" was basically deliberate, and with thugs swarming from all sides, I'd have been in fear for my life, too. I'm sure he was panicking like crazy, but his mistake was getting off the highway. The road looked pretty clear, I'd have run as hard as I could and had the wife on the horn to the cops. Don't stop until you see the flashing blues. You can't outrun a sport bike, but if you're moving fast enough, it's basically suicide for them to try to stop you or run you off the road.
