FWIW, pretty much any decent system designed for use with a TV will have a way to respond to basic controls from the TV's remote. If all you're doing is taking a signal from the TV, and all you really need is volume control, there's no reason why you'd need two remotes.

Honestly, if those are the speakers you're looking at, chances are you'll be better off with the TV's built-in speakers. When I use the built-in speakers on my Samsung, I've usually got it at 1/4 volume or less. There's a ton of headroom left if I really wanted to rattle the windows. I guarantee you it gets louder and sounds better than any $15 USB powered speakers.
