No. Both are Socket 1150, Socket 1150 is Haswell. What RB said.
64-bit MAME on a 64-bit OS can net you up to a 20% speed boost on certain titles, I've seen this myself with Prop Cycle for example.
If you're only going to run "demanding 2D games" on 32-bit Windows XP, just get a good S775 motherboard and a Core 2 Duo E8500 or 8600.
Don't put nice modern hardware to waste running a decade old 32-bit OS, you are throwing away your money.
