I'll have a look. The problem seems that the GUI isn't able to locate the HLSL.INI in the HLSLPATH folder. Though, but I don't know if it's an issue of my end, if I launch a game from the internal UI of official MAME 0.148u5 with HLSL enabled, it doesn't work at all. Nor the default settings are used and the sliders don't appears....
