Being up-front about it: I can't stand fruit machines. Having grown up in a country where they were illegal, then later moving to one where they were, their sound ruined pubs for me after emigrating (for the first time). The noise that they put out completely ruined having a quiet drink without the intrusion of someone striking it incredibly rich to the tune of £4.20, and I never cared for the fact that they were legalised in my home country a few years after that.
That said, they are a part of arcade history, even if they aren't part of yours - or are one that you care for.
There is a simple way to deal with this: don't play them. In fact, don't download their ROMs, artwork, flyers, icons, or anything else to do with them. Ignore them, and it is as though they do not exist.
Frankly, whether or not they are in MAME means nothing to me - if their drivers evaporated tomorrow, I would feel no loss - but to many more people that you or I, they are important.
Fighting games hold no interest for me; should they be ignored as well? And while I do realise that you were not asking for the fruit machines to be removed from MAME, they are a part of arcade history that should remain because they are also arcade games.
My sympathies to the (presumably) Korean person who made the original post; it saddens me to see games destroyed, even if they are not ones that I have a deep interest in.
