Recently I upgraded/still in the process of upgrading to an LGA1155 motherboard and bought a cheap £30 Pentium G645 2.9GHz and I have to say I'm really impressed at how much of a difference it makes to MAME. Don't get me wrong, I knew there'd be some difference, but heck, some games are now almost 100% compared to my C2D setup before, and the funny thing is that I want to get an i5 in future so I can't wait to see the difference that makes lol.
I was playing Time crisis 2 earlier (and getting around 50%) and having a lot of fun despite not being full speed and the camera having a little issue with POV, and great to play until the Donkey Kong section lol. Ahwell, just wanted to ramble and say I'm loving my new setup.
