That's good news. I have read on other post about this speed improvements.
I would like to update mobile versions to this newer mame version. I had tried to upgrade time ago to some 0.14x mame. But there were big issues with the gcc arm toolchain and newer pure C++code. Basically 68000 drivers were broken with segmentation faults.
Other problem was the executable size. Android has 50MB native file size limit the last time I checked ... Also there was heap problems, there is limit too.
Too much headaches.
I rolled back to the 139 one, but I have the osd code somewhere..
Maybe with your help I can fix that issues when 0.149 will be released
