I actually remember that specific, muscular cruising bike coming out on magazine covers. Partly because I also remember the earlier V45 Magna's appearance, and also the V45 Sabre and V45 Interceptor. I think the effect the V65 Magna had on the general public of the time was something akin to the later Yamaha V-Max?
