Just made my first successful transit and made it into orbit around the Mun. The vehicle is in a stable equatorial orbit at 100KM, with about 40% of its fuel remaining left to come home with (started with 4 tanks + RCS tank. RCS hasn't really been useful on this mission). I didn't outfit a lander module of any sort as this was just a test run to actually get there, and maybe even back.
Design work for a lander module starts forthwith.
