I'm finding that most of my planes also tend to fly best at low throttle too. I haven't really found a perfect balance in terms of CG yet, some planes like to dip the nose and some like to bob the nose up, but I haven't found one yet that will sustain level flight. Would be nice to have some trim tabs.
This first one requires drop-able rocket boosters for takeoff as it carries a huge amount of fuel. Going to see what sort of long-distance flight I can get out of it.
This one actually has really good directional stability and turns really nicely, despite its appearance. Need to bank steeply in the turns though.
