Yeah, that was basically a waste of time.

Oh, what the heck. I'm game. I'll post my results in order to show what you get afterwards. :-)

For those who dare brave the 146 questions, with a section that's essentially a "what emotions do you think these people are feeling" line of inquiry but not counting the last page that screens out Asperger's and autism, here is a sample of what you'll get as the freebie results:

Emotional Identification, Perception, and Expression

You are reasonably skilled when it comes to the core ability of identifying, perceiving and expressing emotions in yourself and others. There is still, however, room for growth. Overall, your skills in this area of emotional intelligence aid you in the process of reading others, understanding how they feel, and effectively identifying your own emotions. These skills form the basis of your ability to relate to the emotions of others as well as well as your ability to understand yourself. Review the results below for further information on areas that could use further improvement.

The "below" part is where they want you to cough up a Hamilton.

On the bright side, I wondered what recruiters see. Lately I've been noticing that a lot of online applications come complete with this kind of personality assessment. I bet Human Resources departments love playing paper shrink and seeing who fill these things out. I guess it's better than wasting time with actual interviews where you actually have to converse with somebody.

But it ain't the same as a real-life one-on-one meeting. Nothing can replace that. And it really doesn't tell me anything new that I already didn't know about myself already.

Like any test, I'm sure it can be exploited. For The Greater Good, aka "The Lulz," of course. ;-)
