Some emulators run games playable that are too slow in MAME, but MAME is about accuracy. For some games, if you don't care about accuracy, you might as well try ports, for example several "Naomi / Atomiswave" games have been ported to the Dreamcast, PS2, Wii, and XBOX / XBOX 360.
