I would delete your cfg, diff, and nvram file and start again. Don't bother with getting your gun aiming to work properly. Just test the default settings for ammo reload. If you are still having problems, remap the reload button to some other key that you know works, like the letter "L" for example. Start up the game. eventually it will force you to one of the chapters and you can test reload.
