MAMEWorld Forums - The Loony Bin - This is my brother Ken, and my other brother Kenny

We eat at a Vietnamese restaurant every couple weeks, because we love the Pho Tai (yum).

The owners always have their two young boys playing in the corner, and my four year old wanted to go play while we ate... ok fine. I walk her over to the two boys playing, who are probably like three and five years old. I'm like, "and what's your name" and the boys are like, "I'm Ken and he's Kenny."

Let me get this straight... your name is Ken, and he's Kenny? And your brothers?

The owner comes over to be friendly, so I'm like, what are your boys' names?

This one is Ken, and this one is Kenny.

So I ask, "Are those their American names, and they have Vietnamese names too?"

No, they were born here in the US, and they wanted the boys to have regular "American" names.

Oh, yeah, those are great names.

WTF, didn't anybody at the hospital, or a friend, or a relative, or anybody, point out to them they gave the two brothers the same damn name?
