What I don't see is 3D releases "improving" movies, Titanic in 2D or 3D is still a mediocre movie, ditto for the "Episode 1 - 3 Star Wars Movies", reselling the same movies again and again just seems to me Hollywood has lost the ability to make "good" movies and is interested in cashing in on 3D rather than make new and innovative movies.
3D shouldn't make a movie, a movie should be great regardless of the technology behind it. I still think Star Wars a New Hope - Return of the Jedi were better in their original forms and that 3D isn't going to "improve" them. I may be wrong, its just my opinion.
I don't think 3D in itself is bad or good, I just don't see a movie being "improved" by it.
But then again I'm happy with DVDs and don't see the need to repurchase every movie I own on Blu Ray either. I don't even have a Blu Ray player.
I will admit though I love my flatscreen 22" monitor that supports 1080p.
