Yeah its worth getting them for the 2600.
I can't seem to find many cartridges that don't have to be cleaned. Everything from Game Boy cartridges to Nintendo 64 cartridges seem to need cleaned, but when you get good games you don't care about the hassle involved in cleaning them.
I have my 2600 games in a plastic storage bin, with the system and a couple of C64 joysticks.
