The software can be provided via other, legal means, like the Wayback Archive, which hosts loads of shareware CDs. There's a lot of -legally available- freeware games and programs for older computers, too.

So there's that. The idea is probably that once it's available, more companies will likely donate the programs for educational use. I think.
