Sometime last month I was going to go to a larger town that has a Thai restaurant to get some Pad Thai (yeah, that wicked video got me craving it  ). So along the way -just about 4 blocks before I got there- a cop car gets behind me. I could tell he was following me. So I get to the restaurant and pull into it's parking lot. There comes on the lights. I park my car, then wait for the officer...
Without trying to recall ALL the details I'll just mention the most notable occurrences.
The cop asked me a question, I answered him, then he replies back; "Do you want to speak up and talk like a normal human being?"
All I could do was turn my head away in disbelief! Right there was the first sign the reason for this stop was complete BS!
Then he asked to see my insurance card... He asked; "Is this what they gave you?" To which I replied; "Yeah, is that not what I'm supposed to have?" His next question; "Who is Jesse _____er?" And I raise my hand like "Right here." And he added the 'er' at the end of my last name, but whatever.
Then he asked me how it was that I pay myself for my own insurance (or something like that). I told him I pay my insurance company myself, out of my own pocket... He was just trying (desperately) to confuse me. Then he asked me what the name of the insurance company was. I tried to tell him it's Cornerstone. I tried to take my insurance card back to point out to him what the name of my insurance company was, but he held on to it -not letting it budge. Surely he was able to see on the TOP of the CARD the name of the insurance company... WTF?! You'd think he never seen one before. 
It turned out it was my license plate privacy cover was too dusty.... Another question he asked was "Is there any particular reason why you don't want anybody to see your license plate?"
When it was over and he was done checking my driving (offense?) record - he let me go and said "the next time you go to the car wash just take a squeegee and zip that right off." I was pretty worked up at this point, all I could say was "I'll do that!"
