I am genuinely curious as to why there are some relatively ‘common’ games that contain “No dump” for one or several of its ROM images.

Does the “No dump” exist because the equipment to properly dump the ROM is not in possession of the one’s who have the original boards? Or is it a lack of knowing how to dump the ROM properly? Is it the board itself has no longer been available since obtaining the proper equipment and dumping technique for it? Or is it a lack of interest; something else?

This is by no means an attempt to ask for ROMs or demand things to be dumped, I am truly wondering and curious. I have compiled a list of some of the sets/titles which fall into this area which I would think are relatively common, but any clarification and answer is appreciated. Thanks.
