I've been here at Fort Sam Houston, TX since 22 March and I should be back home around 1 June. Overall, my training here has been pretty good; even the 3 weeks at Camp Bullis weren't as bad as I thought they'd be.
Unfortunately, I have had some problems (both professional and personal) here. It seems that I was not prepared for Army Life or, in a way, Army Soldiers.
I tend to speak plainly and say what I mean, and I've gotten into some trouble here because of that. I'm referring to my interaction with other soldiers, not with the instructors. I also seemed to become a victim of my naivety. I don't really have time right now to go into details, but I would like to get some of your opinions on a few issues when I have some more time.
Anyway, I haven't looked at all the posts from the past 8 weeks or so, but I hope everyone here is doing well. I might be going to Fort Gordon, GA for a few weeks in June, but hopefully I will have time catch up with some of the stuff going on here before then.
