No, I didn't. I know a lot of people swear by it, but I've never seen an issue on a gutter-less building with proper overhang, starter strip, and water shield applied. Good point though, probably would have used it if it wasn't a garage.

The 'Craftsman' style I'm trying to match on the house generally lends to excessive overhang and multiple levels of trim, hopefully it shouldn't be an issue.

Notches are great when they have them. I've never had luck with the hammer gauges, they always seem to move on me somehow. Probably because I buy shitty hammers though.

Lord I wanted that, but the supply house I got them from made a huge stink about power line proximity and access. It was tight, but do-able IMO... I wasn't going to make a big deal over 25 bundles.
