Just playing devils advocate here (and straying slightly off topic), but how would "Space Tactics" or "Time Traveler" be handled?
Space tactics is horizontally mounted monitor that can swivel about the horizontal axis. the 45 degree mirror is actually dynamic, ranging at angles from roughly 30 to 60 degrees. Once these monitor orientations are defined does the code allow for them to be manipulated for proper "emulation"?
Time Traveler was a CRT mounted away from the player (the player would be staring at the neck of the tube). The monitor image was "projected" onto a 1/4 spherical mirror, with a plate of glass on top of it. Technically if you were to represent that in "2D" i guess it's no different than a standard mirror setup, but just thinking aloud here...
//Really has little to do with the original topic, but hey, I'm bored and too lazy to look at the code.
