If that doesn't fix it, let's put your router in the spotlight. What make and model is your router?
Maybe something isn't configured correctly there.
I'm thinking that you're still hitting CenturyLink DNS even when you have it configured for OpenDNS...

If you have OpenDNS configured, you should ONLY ever see the OpenDNS page in the attached screenshot when trying to visit http://www.abc.xyz
Oh, and another thing to look at... Are you connecting to your router using Wi-Fi? Maybe your router is getting stepped on my another nearby router. Maybe you need to change channels or something. If you are using Wi-Fi, try making a direct connection with an Ethernet cable and see if that makes a difference.
