MAMEWorld Forums - EmuChat - What is wrong with Mame joining NDIIPP?

Hello,

Mame is about preservation of arcade machines, and the Library of Congress is about digital preservation. Would the submittal of Mame Project to the Libary of Congress be possible?

Questions:

What would the impacts of such a submittal be to the project in its current state?

Is the Library of Congress, abhorrent in the eyes of the international community of Mame developers? If so why?

Would the inclusion provide more resources for the continuing archival of arcade machines?

Would this offset any worries with the DMCA?

Could the justification against such an idea, be postponed until the project is completed or deferred at a later date?

I would like to see any feedback from the Mamedevs on this topic.
