Yeah. Another one is bidding the asking price early to try and make it look to other people like they won't be able to get it for around the asking price and then sniping on top of it in the last few seconds. People try all sorts of stuff, but a lot of it can backfire, like putting a bunch of bids on something could make it catch more people's attention by looking like a more desired item, or it could start a bid war and people start realizing that they would pay more for an item than they otherwise would have and you end up paying more than you would have had to.
