Wanna buy a Model-3 board for study. How ever, some board-sets for sale don't include the interface board, the slim one fixed at the end of metal shell.
Wondering whether a Model-3 can boot up without this interface board. Does anyone have some technical information of it: pictures with enough details, pinouts of connectors to the CPU/VIDEO boards, and/or is there any custom ICs on it?
BTW, does this interface board compatible with one on a Model-2 board-set, as they look similar from some pictures?
Another question is "stepping compatibility": does a stepping-2 Model-3 backward compatible with games from stepping-1.x, as a Naomi-2 does with Naomi-1 games?
