Can you tell MAME where to position the actual screen?
05/02/08 02:34 PM

Hi guys

I posted this in another section, then thought maybe it would be better here instead -

I'm using an AVGA card with MAME set to ddraw and an arcade CRT monitor. There are a lot of games that run at one resolution (think it's 320 x 224 but I'm at work so not sat in front of the cab)

On half of them come on with a border on the right side. If I set my h-position to 60, they are fine.

Then other games need h-position at 51, or the border is on the left.

Isn't there some way to add a command into the ini file for the games to say 'push this game right a bit' - Using the on screen MAME menu to do it doesn't work as it's the edge of the graphics where the border is, so moving it just makes graphics dissapear.

I'm guessing the answer is no, but it's worth a try.

Hope that makes sense
