MAMEWorld Forums - Ultimarc - Ipac with Console Adapters

I have been trying to get some answers to questions that I am unsure about on the Ultimarc web page.

Years ago I bought a console adapter with varied results on the Dreamcast (PSX to Dreamcast adapter) where some buttons would just stop working.

Now I want to just use a PS2 and PS3 with my arcade. On the website the mapping seems to be incomplete/inconsistent.

I want to start preparing my arcade panel but I am unsure how to proceed.

For instance, I have a button going to SW1 programmed to key W that is my desire to have as player 1 button X...yet the controls on website say p1 SW5 key Z. Do I need to switch the wiring to SW5 for that button? Lets say I assume yes.

Now the problem with the select key, home, rt analog click is that it isn't set to any particular place on the ipac (sw(x) etc..) or in some cases..not even a keyboard? Is there any software with this adapter? Has anyone here bought this?

I am having trouble wrapping my head around this.

Before I get the adapter I don't want to go through the same problems again. The particular button I am wondering about is how I can put the PS3 home button on a specific arcade button. Again, the website shows not mapping on the ipac...but yet says F1? Does this mean any button mapped to F1 will work?

I appreciate any help in regards to this matter.
