The correct way for merged sets *is* to have only the genesis archive in your rompath which holds the genesis_tmss files inside. And that scenario works fine. You should double check your archive and your settings (e.g. if all sets and check options are enabled)...and you should use the clrmamepro board for discussion. Feel free to send me your cmpro.ini, *.dat/*.cmp file for your used profile.
