Understood - that's what I did (I'm an aid worker working for Oxfam in South Sudan atm so it's like I'm paying myself!). The idea was to get a licence to the ROMs, not whatever software they run them on. Shame SNK won't get any money but at least they will see the appeal their old games still have!
A shame that the company who developed the original games is choosing to work with dubious coders instead of going to the reference (MAME obviously). I'm sure the team would find a way to overcome the source licence issues if the game makers themselves asked. That would be a great story of cooperation in this long-running cold war with the emulation world.
