When the .256 release happened, this was supported. Yamaha DD-9 Digital Percussion [BCM, Devin Acker]
SYST( 1994, dd9, 0, 0, dd9, dd9, psr150_state, empty_init, "Yamaha", "DD-9 Digital Percussion", MACHINE_SUPPORTS_SAVE | MACHINE_CLICKABLE_ARTWORK )
A decent videoclip shows the sound samples of the product in action. That would be something if a user can get almost similar results in MAME to show emulation in action such as running the drum samples. Trying to do drum rolls might be a bit too much of a stretch.

Description : This noisy recording showcases the DD-9 in all its cheesy glory. From low-grade, cardboardy bass drums to awkwardly-chopped sound effect samples... the DD-9 has it all, and it's a joy to listen to for that very reason.
