erm... you keep accusing me to touch the snes timing, but apart from an aborted attempt to change DMA behavior which did not work well (and lived only shortly) I basically never touched the timing. it's always been you which added/removed cycle delays (usually with pretty good effects, of course, I'm not complaining...)
so be assured that I won't work on the timings this time either (mainly because I'm too busy with NES carts code and have no time for SNES)
