Not sure what the future will hold. It might be worth archiving the forum message and closing it completely, like you said. For now, I've placed it in full moderation mode.. we'll see how that goes.
I'm honestly not sure what else I can do. The forum's description plainly states no bug reporting, a post/sticky in the forum restates the same thing. Keeping it around is simply not worth it if people are not reading all the stop signs
