This will work assuming you want to place the roms in mamefiles:

#
# CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS
#
rompath .\..\mamefiles

Or:

#
# CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS
#
rompath .\..\mamefiles\roms

Assuming you want to place the roms on a folder called "roms" within the folder "mamefiles"
