jclampy MAME Fan Reged: 09/16/11 Posts: 105 Send PM Mame OPL or Midi Output or alternative solutions? 01/20/13 05:35 AM Reply Hi, I recently saw this on Youtube; "GAME MUSIC : STAR FORCE (MIDI / sound only) - YouTube" Was wondering if it is/was possible to output music from Mame to an midi device? I got a Roland Sound Canvas at the moment and my brothers got a MT32. We also got OPL3 chips and XG midi devices as well. Don't know if this is relevant but; Mame 0.60 - osd_opl_control() and osd_opl_write() removed; direct access to the SoundBlaster OPL chip is no longer useful. So is there a setting or is this possible with Mame prior to 0.60? If not then is there another way I can do this? Would the M1 program by R.Belmont help me out here? Anybody have any advice? Thanks.
