I am trying to get my head around this stuff and maybe someone can help clear this up for me.
In this example I will use a 'standard pitch' Wells Gardner K7000 series 19" Arcade Monitor with these specs from the manual: stripe trio spacing (standard): 0.82mm Horizontal Frequency: 15.1kHz to 16.8 kH Standard CRT 400 pixels x 240 lines
Since Arcade Monitors are analog devices they don't actually produce 'pixels' which are digital right?
So what does that '400 pixels' in the manual specifications signify? Does that signify the 1:1 ratio of 'peak' detail of a digital pixelated image 'horizontal pixels' that can be displayed, and an image with higher or lower number of horizontal pixels will be displayed at a lesser quality or chopped?
