My PC runs too slow for this (sound stutters), but the " ` " key, (to the left of the " 1 ", key brings up the master volume indicator, which can be adjusted with the left and right arrow keys. (press "esc" key once to exit that)
The tab-key menu also indicates that the " - " key will lower the volume, and the " = " key will raise the volume.
I found that either method could adjust the volume, although the master volume indicator was at maximum and could only lower the volume. The " = " key could however, make the volume nice and loud when pressed several times.
I'm pretty sure these are the standard keys for adjusting the volume on most games.
