Re: Samurai Shodown III - What should the button assignments be for light/heavy attacks?

Samurai Shodown III is a NeoGeo game. It has 4 buttons and they're regular digital buttons, not pressure sensitive. On a NeoGeo MVS arcade cabinet or the original AES joystick, the buttons were arranged in a single curved row. On the NeoGeo CD gamepad, the buttons were arranged in a diamond (like pretty much every gamepad starting from the SNES), with button A at the bottom. You can google "Neo Geo controller" to see both types.

Button assignments for an Xbox pad that match the NeoGeo CD pad layout are as follows:

A button = MAME button 1
B button = MAME button 2
X button = MAME button 3
Y button = MAME button 4
