This isn't a question for Haze, but for someone who is familiar with the cheat system.
Could someone skilled in the art of cheats make a cheat to sequentially press the direction buttons?
I understand most cheats operate by changing a location in memory that activates the desired effect. In this case, would it be possible for a cheat to activate the joystick ports in a regular pattern, over short intervals of time, in order to simulate the circular motion?
I guess one could try to send some keystrokes from outside of MAME to achieve this, but it might be tidier to do it from inside.
