Yeah, this guy sounds like a total mall ninja. I mean, good on him if he avoided taking a risky shot that could have endangered more people, but I highly doubt someone in the middle of a shooting spree took one look at the cold glint in his eye and offed himself out of pure despair.
Also, that shooting absolutely made the national news. Considering the same number of people can get shot on a bad weekend in just about any urban area and it barely makes the regional news, I hardly think it's a vast liberal conspiracy to discredit God-fearing gun owners.
